Ultra gratitude to the first 37 supporters of the Permaculture Design Deck conscious crowdfunder.
Joyed to be off to a good start on our quest.
Blessed to have graphic designer Alexa Spaddy working with permaculture illustrations from Brenna Quinlan, collaborating to create a clear, concise and connected design.
The card fronts have been upgraded with new brushstroke and colors. Hands will appear in four skin tones to represent the global community. We matched the design to the companion book, Permaculture Design Notes.
Upgraded Text Design from Sijay James who also did the text design for the recently released companion book, Permaculture Design Notes book. We matched the fonts.
This week we completed a new box design with Alexa Spaddy, featuring the beautiful foil stamped green fabric that is on the spine of the Permaculture Design Notes book and a sturdy bottom. We await a proof copy of the box to share in our campaign. Here is the source drawing from Brenna Quinlan for the bronze foil stamp that we would love to have over green linen if we reach our box stretch goal.
As part of the first week of our campaign we took a trip to Star Island on the Isles of Shoals. The beach roses were flowering and junipers full of berries. We found an old heritage chapel made of stone and old ship lumber, to pray for the support of our community to produce a next level Permaculture Design Deck shared freely as a download with the world community and in a beautiful printed card deck in a box with a book.
